So I don't really get to listen to much radio. Part of the Gen-Y in me likes choice and control, and because of my iPod + iTrip, the days of Richard Mercer and Kyle & Jackie O are a thing of the past for me. Maybe that's why radio stations like fbi are struggling to keep their heads afloat. On the brink of bankruptcy, fbi would be a huge loss to the local music community - after all, it was fbi that first broke the likes of Wolfmother, and The Presets. Now we've got internet wonders like hypem.
And so, to right my wrong, I present to you the Ask Richard campagin. Basically, all you creatives need to do is dream up the biggest idea you can to get Richard's attention, in the hope that he'll generously donate $1million to the station. What's in it for you? Well, not only will you continue to hear the coming waves of new Australian music, but fbi will throw you 5% of his donation ($50k!).
