it's often when I have half a dozen briefs sitting, waiting in my moleskine waiting to be answered that I'm at my most uncreative. Mostly, I just need a little prodding. Image dump blogs are probably the best idea kick starters, too random and vague to just copy stuff directly, but beautiful and inspiring enough to use.

Probably my first point of call, and I know similarly for many designers - is FFFFOUND!. Daily updates by swarms of folk, it's often a case of quantity of quality, but by sheer numbers there's always a gem to be ffffound (see what i did there).

Newer to me, but just as amazing, enters Yimmy's Yayo. Yimmy Yayo is the pen name for newly Sydney local, James W Mataitis Bailey. This blog, whilst less "graphic design" orientated, is filled with beautiful imagery that'll keep you flicking for hours; or as he puts it "Visual crack for the ocular fiend". I like that being from one author, the blog follows one particular taste, unlike, say FFFFOUND. Warning: tends to be Not Safe For Work.

Type nerds will fall in love with We Love Typography. Which is more of the same, but here all things type and signage and posters. Works a treat as a starting point.
